Get to know Rachel Canter

How did you get started in the business of fitness and wellness?
I took a career change from recruitment. I wanted to work in an area I was passionate about.

What do you love about your job?
Helping clients reach their health & fitness goals. Sense of autonomy and working in a sector that always has new ideas and trends.

What’s been the most rewarding moment of your career?
When I see the positive results of clients work, realising I was instrumental to that and I could make a positive change to people’s lives.

What’s been your best result with an organisation or individual?
Training a small group of women for the Tesco race for life. They did really well on the day and enjoyed themselves.

What’s the secret to balance in your life?
Exercise regularly so you don’t have to consistently watch what you eat. Good night’s sleep and Aloe vera gel in the morning and being positive.

Healthy living is great — do you have any vices?
Oh yes, biscuits and dark chocolate.

What’s your favourite time of the day/week?
Lunchtimes in the week and Sundays are a nice chill out day.

How would you describe yourself?
Personable, lively and driven.

Favourite food/drink
Blueberries, porridge, steak and Green and Black’s chocolate!

Favourite season
Definitely spring/summer.

Give it your best!

Pet hates/what would you like to live without?
NHS bureaucracy and traffic!

What makes time fly for you?
Having fun with family and friends and being in love (keeps you young!).
