London Business School
The London Business School is consistently ranked as one of the top business schools in the world. Their Executive Education programmes are regarded as crucial learning environments in which business leaders evolve their abilities and sharpen their skills.
The Course Directors at London Business School believe in developing participants in as many different ways as possible while they attend on-site programmes, so they asked The Tonic to devise health and wellbeing modules to feature as a regular part of Executive Education programmes.
These modules would ensure that all participants have the opportunity to
raise their game in as many ways as possible while in London by examining
their stress management strategies, fitness and nutrition in a way that they
very rarely have time for within their regular, busy schedules.
Our brief was to add value to the Executive Education experience and to achieve positive behaviour change for participants.
We devised a programme of events that comprised of five key elements:
- An initial health screening to assess current lifestyle
- Group presentations / coaching sessions to enable all participants to evolve their own personal plan for success
- Fitness sessions to energise participants and teach effective training techniques
- Yoga and Pilates sessions to teach a balanced lifestyle approach
- Nutrition planning for the modern day executive
Since 2007 participants have been rising to the challenge and the wellbeing programme continues to be a resounding success:
“I enjoyed the wellbeing programme – (it was) well delivered and great to experience some new activities.”
“I now know how to manage time and overcome stress.”
“(The programme) has motivated me to watch my diet and will continue to have an effect in the future for me.”
“A good addition to the programme, congratulations.”
As far as behaviour change is concerned, the results of one particular Executive on a 4 week programme speak for themselves:
“I lost 3kg, dropped blood pressure and I feel great!”
