How to be a better leader

Don't take my word for it - here's a real life example.

'Sport or business?  Different subjects, exactly the same approach.'

I was very pleased to receive the update below recently as it completely captures what I hope to achieve with everyone I work with.

Not, of course, to turn everyone to running, but to ask the questions that enable each individual to come up with their unique version of this journey.

The solutions to unlock their full potential for work, life, happiness and fulfilment.

Thank you so much Corrado Morsiani for sharing so openly and honestly.

A truly inspiring story. With more to come I suspect!..

'I wanted to share a milestone with you.

Yesterday, I ran my first half marathon. My goal was to finish in under two hours, and I crossed the finish line in 1:58:57.

Seven months ago, before meeting you, I would never have imagined I could achieve something like this. Reaching the finish line was an incredible feeling. In that moment, all the months of effort, discipline, early mornings, sweat, and fatigue suddenly felt worthwhile, replaced by a deep sense of accomplishment and pride.

You gave me the method, the planning, and the right approach. Since March, I have been consistent with both my training and my weight management. When we started, I weighed 100.5 kg; today I am stable at 92 kg.

Running has become much more than exercise for me. It has become a passion, a positive addiction, and an outlet that helps me maintain balance.

It has also made me a better leader. During my training sessions, I have time to think, reflect, solve problems, and gain clarity on important decisions. Some of my best ideas and insights come while I am running.

Now it is time to set new goals: short-term, medium-term, and long-term. The long-term dream is, of course, the New York City Marathon. But for now, I want to stay humble and focus on the next step: improving my time at the Como Half Marathon in two months (1 h 57 min).

One goal at a time, following the same process that brought me this far.

Thank you for helping me discover what consistent effort and the right mindset can achieve. This result belongs to me, but it would not have happened without your guidance.

And if my experience can inspire others who are trying to achieve personal or professional goals through discipline, consistency, and a structured approach, I would be delighted for it to be shared.'
