Night Sweats

Night Sweats (nocturnal hyperhidrosis) are often associated with the menopause.

They can also be related to sleep apnoea, infections, alcohol abuse and medication such as aspirin or antidepressants.

It’s frustrating but not usually harmful. If it happens regularly it is worth visiting your GP.

Something that has been reported to us to help with menopausal night sweats is open water swimming. Not for everyone we appreciate so an alternative could be progressively cooling your shower towards the end and finishing with a few momenta (or minutes) of cold water.
